Recipe of the Week: 6/29/19 (really 6/30, oops I'm late)

As I'm sure everyone has noticed, I pull a lot of my recipes off of Pinterest. If you don't already use the website or have the app on your phone, I highly recommend it.

Pinterest makes searching for healthy recipes extremely easy. More than 90% of the time I just type in "healthy dinners" and I get so many options that I have issue picking which one to cook.

This week's recipe that I want to share with you is Egg Roll in a Bowl. Think of everything that would go inside of an egg roll and.....boom..... there you have it. I did add a little twist to mine to make it even easier to prepare.


1- Lbs. Ground Turkey or ground beef

1- Packet of McCormick Korean Beef Seasoning Mix

1 1/2- tsp of Liquid Aminos

2- tbsp of sesame seeds

1/2 cup- broccoli slaw

1/2 cup- shredded cabbage

1/2 cup- shredded carrots

1/4 cup- chopped red onion

Fresh Gourmet Wonton Strips


- Brown ground turkey or beef in pan. Once cooked, add Korean Beef Seasoning Mix and 1/2 cup water. Don't look at the directions on the back :-) Let the meat simmer in sauce until it has thickened. Set aside to cool.

- While the meat and sauce are cooling a little, Combine broccoli slaw, shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, and red onion in a bowl. Toss all ingredients with Liquids Aminos.

- Toss meat in with veggies, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and garnish with wanton strips.
